Even though there are cheaper apartments for rent in Chapel Hill, I would still recommend Southern Village Apartments. Many of my friends pay less at other complexes, but they do not have the same atmosphere, convenience or beauty. Being in walking distance from Weaver STreet Market is great and I love the community aspect of Southern Village as a whole. There are lots of young families.
I am not a huge fan of the management staff, but they have answered my maintenance requests promptly. Free video rental is nice, even though it's only for one night. They did start charging for water, but its negilible. I would definitely recommend Southern Village.
