Southern Village was a nice place to live for the past two years. The past office staff was bad but the new staff is much better. The apartments are okay; I've seen better in other places in Durham. It is pricey and the only way I recommend to people to live here is if they have a roommate or 2 incomes. Otherwise, you can find nicer apartments elsewhere. The walls are thin and I hear the upstairs neighbors all the time.

The location is great with the Weaver Street supermarket and the movie theater here. That is a big plus if you want convenience. Otherwise, consider other options before signing a lease.
