Sunstone is wonderful!

Great location
Plenty of stores (Harris Teeter, University Mall, Wellspring, etc.) and restaurants (Mellow Mushroom, Applebees, others at University Mall) within walking distance.

Chapel Hill public library, Chapel Hill community center, post office, and several banks are also nearby.

On many bus lines (G, D, CL, F, TTA; plus night and Saturday service) and close enough to campus (2.3 miles) that you can walk on nice days. I don't have a car here and have no problems.

Great Apartments
My 1 bed room apartment is spacious and well laid out. I get a lot of afternoon sun/natural light (many windows). Everyone who has visited has loved my apartment.

My neighbors are quiet. I haven't had troubles with loud parties, have never been woken up. There's a good mix of undergrads, grads, professionals, and a few senior citizens here so it's not a party complex like others in Chapel Hill.

Responsive Staff/Maintenance
All of my maintenance requests have been fixed the same day. The staff members are very friendly. At least one of the office managers lives on site.


I got a great deal by commiting to an apartment early (late January for move-in in August).
