A Perfect Place to Live in Chapel HIll

My boyfriend and I lived in Sunstone for a year while we attended UNC Chapel Hill, and we had nothing but a positive experience.
I took the bus to the university nearly every day without any problems - it was right within walking distance of several bus stops for several buslines. I enjoyed being conveniently next to the Post Office, Harris Teeter, a car repair shop, and all of University Mall.
We never had any issues with the Maintenance - every time I called them they answered my questions or came right away to fix our emergency issues. We moved into the apartment with brand new appliances, so we didn't have too many things that needed to be fixed.
Communication with the office staff seems to be key - they forget things sometimes unless you remind them. But we never had any negative experiences.
We had no trouble transferring our lease to summer sub-letters so that we could move out early.
The neighborhood is mostly quiet, with families and students both living there. There is more than enough parking every hour of the day. I'd recommend a top floor apartment, though, to avoid any noise from above, and to have some privacy and freedom from bugs!
