Close to a free city bus line (T route), within walking distance of two grocery stores (one is just a stone's throw away), a post office, movie theater, several good restaurants, etc. Interesting neighborhood, with diverse housing surrounding. One block east, several nice upper-scale homes, one block west, trailers.

There have been frequent sirens heard, although many times because of the near by shopping center. Neighbors aren't always the greatest, luck of the draw. I recommend living on the third floor, not much noise there. The noise doesn't seem to transfer from side apartments as much as through floors/ceilings. Nice swimming pool with a kiddy pool as well. Nice tennis court. Has a basketball court and kid's playground, but basketball court is tucked out of the way and kid's playground isn't maintained too much. Lots of children in this complex. Lots of young UNC families.

I chose this apartment because the kitchen has a window looking over the porch, a feature I still enjoy. Downside: I have had neighbors move in who were disruptive, then move out again, only for disruptive new neighbors to take their place. Upside: Maintenance has always fixed my problem within 24 hours of me calling.
