Things got better since I originally moved in. Maintenance and the grounds have definitely improved since first moving in. Lighting has improved and it's rare to see a light out. There is still damage in the parking lot from a car fire. The staff is, in general, very nice and maintenance request were done promptly. Occasionally I would have to repeat to the office a request for a repair which seemed to happen a little more often right before I left. I used to get text messages from the maintenance guy when I would have packages in the office which was nice because on several occasions earlier on I wouldn't even get a note on my door saying I had a package in the office. The pool, although lively and sometimes rowdy, was always kept up well. It did fall off some right before I left and it seemed like something changed by the way it was being setup. Rent prices dropped dramatically which were never offered to me and they started changing out appliances which also only seemed to be something being offered to new people moving in. There was no security officer for a while and cars would definitely be towed if they had no sticker or were parked where they shouldn't be. The office staff was kind and the maintenance guy seemed to go out of his way to take care of the property and the people living here, at least with the people I made friends with and me. Overall I would recommend it especially if you can get a 2 bedroom for $999 with new appliances near the pool. beware though that the pool is loud in the summer but it is uptown and it is in bar central so not much more can be expected.
