First of all, let me just say that I have never written a review on an establishment in my life. However, after staying at the Ashford Green apartments for 6 months while waiting to transition into my new house, I felt compelled to give my opinion. Upon arriving you are given a tour of a beautiful, clean, upgraded model apartment. The actual apartment I was given on my first day of move in was extremely dirty, it smelled horrible, the a.c./heating unit did not work, and the dishwasher was broken and leaking into the carpet causing it to mold. Due to it being late that evening and tired after work, I went ahead and moved my things in the apartment. The landlord promised to have the apartment fixed up. Needless to say, they never came back, even after numerous phone calls to the office, I was constantly put off to the side. Following my first move in incident, my vehicle was broken into right in front of my apartment, and my gps unit was stolen. I reported it to the office, asking them to put out an alert to the apartment building of recent break ins, and they stated that there was nothing they could do. Also during my 6 month stay, there were numerous other crimes. Robberies, Assault, and two girls that were out walking their dogs and were held up at gunpoint by a group of men that demanded their dbc's and ID's. I understand that crimes will happen, especially in the University area, but I believe that for the price you pay of these apartments, the condition of the rooms, and the constant crime, you can truly and honestly find a better suited place. This is especially true if you have children, are a single woman, pet-owner, or have a family. Please find somewhere else to live, these apartments are not safe or worth your money.

my gps bein stolen was the last straw after putting up with university walk apartments..im in the process of looking a for a new apartment an from this review ashford glen will not be the one i move into
