I am deeply disatisfied with the service I recieved here. My application was declined and with a "no consideration" label. I do not understand why I was declined and personnel working for this company could not give me the answer because of privacy issues. I was told from the start that all that was required was decent renter's history. I was also told not to worry due to the fact that my security deposit would only be $200. I feel misleaded! I am twenty years of age and have a stable job that definately clears the rent. I have had the same job since high school (3 years). I have been renting now at Paces Commons for 5 months of a 7 month lease and I always pay my rent a week before it's due. I have heard no complaints from neighbors. My credit is great but limited (good enough to finance a $20,000 Toyota yet not sufficient to rent with this complex). When questioned if a guarantor was needed I was told that I do not qualify. To rent at Atkins circle, along with most places, your income has to be at least 3X the amount of your rent. It also sounds like while you may have a great renter's history, it may not be long enough. Application fees are part of looking for an apartment, and unfortunately just a cost none of us can avoid without special circumstances (such as a company discount or veteran discount). While there has been one person in the front office that has been less than helpful, most of the staff has been absolutely wonderful, including maintenance staff. I'm sorry you had a poor experience, but don't be surprised if this happens again with a luxury apartment community.
