I moved here blindly (without seeing the place) and from out of state (TX) about a month ago, and live in Phase II (new apartments). From start to finish to now, the leasing agents have been kind, helpful, and sincere! They went out of their way to help ease a stressful last minute move. I got to my apartment after driving 20 hours, and was amazed at how beautiful it is! There's a massive garden tub, black appliances, regal white columns on my balcony, a perfectly gentle paint color (beige or something) with white crown molding, the best apartment carpet I've ever seen, and the list goes on. There's so much more detail in the design than there usually is in apartments. And, though online pictures of apartments usually hide all the flaws, the pictures on their website actually didn't do this place justice! It's even better than it looked online.

The first time I went into the leasing office, I looked disgusting from moving - all sweaty and gross - and they didn't even act like they noticed! They treated me so well, and even gave my dog a treat. SHE gets excited to see them! They don't just act like they have to be nice - I think they just are!

On top of that, the grounds are lovely. There are two activity centers - both with gyms - and two pools. Everything is tastefully landscaped, and there are actually woods as the name suggests. They have a big trash compactor and RECYCLING (which is thoughtful, I think). There are also two covered car wash centers with hoses and a vacuum. Right down the street is Northlake Mall, a strip center (with Starbucks, Panera Bread, Fox and the Hound, Fridays, etc.) and a bunch of new stores - right now there's Best Buy, Petsmart, etc., but by the end of July the Super Target will be open, and in a couple of months REI is opening. I can't wait!

Overall, I can only say two somewhat negative things, and these are grasping at straws and almost not worth mentioning, but just to be honest: There's only one closet in my floorplan, which almost drove me crazy at first, because there's not much storage. To their credit, they do have shelves in the closet, but I'm a girl, so of course I'd love more space :-) The second thing is that the pools don't have hot tubs. This is not a deal breaker, and definitely is a good trade-off based on everything else being wonderful - plus, maybe it discourages riffraff from going to the pool!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a fairly quiet, nice, lovely place to live. I love it more than any other place I've lived or visited, and every time I walk in the door, I feel like I'm home.
