Fine unless you have maintenance requests

I moved in the last weekend of June, and things have been relatively ok - the buildings are adequate, parking isn't usually a problem, etc. The main problem has been with maintenance. For example:
My hot water heater went out a couple Sundays ago. I notified the office during normal hours (around 3p) and was told someone would come out. Monday passed, no one came out. On Tuesday, I called the office again and someone came out about 15 minutes later. The maintenance guy was courteous and professional, and fixed my problem quickly.
Last Wednesday, my A/C stopped working. I called the 'emergency' number around 10p, and the lady told me someone would call me that night. I never heard anything, shut off the A/C and went to bed. By the time I got home from work the next day, I found the A/C was back on with a note which said 'A/C is fine' from maintenance. Wanting to be safe, we changed the air filter for the unit.
I got home today (Sunday) from a weekend away, and noticed it was 80 degrees in my apartment. I called the office, and was told someone would be out within an hour and a half. That was at 4p. It's now 1045p, and no one has called or come out, and my calls haven't been returned.
It seems as though 'customer service' isn't their strong point here, but if you don't have problems the place is fine. A friend lives in a building next door and is pleased with her apartment.
So, it seems as though Auston Woods' ambitious 'Phase II' project has produced some decent buildings, albeit maintenance is understaffed or just doesn't care. It's pretty frustrating to be in the middle of a North Carolina August on the top floor without A/C.

The fact that you were ignored is not shocking to me. I do not live here but I have been trying for the last 3.5 weeks to get the property manager to call me back regarding a job application. Amazingly, whenever I call, she is on a conference call or a day-long call with her regional. I have left countless messages that were promised to be returned only to leave me hanging time after time. It takes a spineless person to first LIE about returning a phone call, and then not having the courtesy enough to follow through. This was the wrong way to handle me, and they have not heard the last of me. Staff, if you read this, you know who I am and how dare you. You've pissed off the wrong person.
