I don't live there anymore although I wish I did. This side of Heaven, you are going to have bad things happen and Autumn Park is no exception. The staff can in no way make sure nothing happens to you or your property. You do need to take personal responisbility and not advertise what you have . I didn't even leave boxes of diapers or formula in the car overnight because people will still anything just to be mean. I would walk in the summertime after the sun went down and I am still living. I have left my car AND apartment twice for 5 weeks each time and NOTHING happened to either one of them. The ladies in the office were always nice and pleasant. The maintenance guys were great as well. Always nice, even the one that didn't talk alot. The playground for the kids is great. The only negative I have about Autumn Park ( it is no fault of theirs) is that people sometimes have a problem keeping their dogs on a leash AND picking up after them. Not all people like dogs or want them running up to them, especially big dogs. If I had it my way, you couldn't have dogs or cats in the building, but I am not "pet friendly." Some of these complaints are absurd. Nothing this side of Heaven will be perfect no matter where you live and who you are. Apartment life always has its bad sides but there are definitely good sides to being a renter. When I left there weren't lots of young UNC students most of the residents seemed to be 25 and lots of families.

Well, when I moved in last month, I really liked the people, actually Alvena, who is really sweet. And I liked they were very prompt and I could actually move in that very day. The apartment is nice, quiet, clean. I really like it here and the price seemed to be convenient, as it was running on specials..but pay attention here: this is the part when I was REALLY, I mean REALLY disappointed...Being for the first time in US, having to go to work every day and solve besides this lots and lots of problems(u can imagine: SSN, trainings, car, broken car, driving license and so on...) I simply lost track of time and forgot to pay the rent on the 5th. I received a note telling that I was not going to be receive the 170 concession anymore and I also had to pay 38,50$ - late fee. So altogether I lost 210 $, just because I paid the rent on Monday and not on Friday. I did have my share of guilt, and I do feel like I had to pay the 38,50 late fee, but it seems too much to pay also the 170 $-lost concession....I felt like their policy is the "got ya" one...I mean, instead of sending the reminders on Thursday, on the 4th,(which could be a top sugestion, if they would really care for the residents!!!-they could even charge for this and it would still be better than paying 200 $ more), they can instead send "got ya" notes, telling you how much you do have to pay because you simply were too busy and lost track of time and you did not pay timely... I really dislike this attitude...and I do find it too much to bear. Yesterday, when all this happened, I REALLY regretted having moved here from the very first place...So, if you wanna move in, I'm gonna be fair and say this really is a nice quiet place, at least this is my impression after one month of staying here, but DO PAY attention and don't be late, not even one day...it cost me 210$...you don't wanna pay that much for being late...
