If you look on this website for information on a community, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
ANY community you look at on here is going to have a bad recommendation because just like the news, people only report what they perceive as the bad stuff.
I am a contractor and work around Autumn Park and can walk to work easily.
The community is quiet and convenient for me for work and walking to the grocery store, it has helped me in not having to buy a car.
Before I moved in and now since I have seen these recent postings about sex offenders and criminals I have looked online at www.familywatchdog.us and have found that there are no sex offenders living in the community.
You can also look at cmpd.org to find out if there have been any calls for service and what they were for.
This is a large city and if you leave your gps in your car, you are just inviting someone in to take it.
I have had no problems at Autumn Park and I don't feel like these previous postings are accurate.
DO YOUR RESEARCH at credible places like the websites I posted previously.

SOMEcrime???? This review is very misleading. It is true that crime occurs in all communities, but the incidents that occur is Autumn Park far outnumber every other community in Charlotte. I have lived here for an year, and the number of times my friends, acquaintances became victims is very very high. My car got vandalized but I did not get robbed. I left before I could.
Coming to maintenance, I did not have a kitchen drawer in the apartment I moved in. I vacated the apartment without ever seeing that drawer inspite of making requests (almost once a month) to replace it. I never got to see the car wash working. It was shown to me as one of the amenities, and I found out after moving in that it is just a show piece.
Management is rude. I mistakenly had locked one of the bathroom doors of my apartment and closed it from outside locking it out. I went to the leasing office and they grimaced all the time while I was there. Finally, I opened it myself before the maintenance guy arrived a couple of days later.
Maybe whites get better treatment.

You can see criminals roaming around.they use gym and laundary. property people have no regrets about it. they talk as if they are not resposible.

And ya they would love and write post as they are being paid for 8 to 5 and collecting late fee. After 5 they believe that whatver happend we don't care. Very money minded.

And to add to what everyone else said, I had issues with getting my security back. Mgt tried to say that I left my apartment dirty which was not the case. I took the complex to court and won! I agree that they are very money hungry and lie just for more money $$$$

I'm just wondering how there are responses dated previous to when the actual post was written? I moved into an apartment that did not have a brand new carpet and I felt like the community did a great job of getting it and the apartment clean before my move in. I see people let people with out key fobs into the ammenities all of the time, how is the community supposed to stop people who aren't supposed to be in the ammenities from coming in if the residents continue to either let them in or leave the door propped open so anyone can enter? I have never let anyone use my ammenity access or let anyone in to the ammenities who didn't have their own access. I'm also wondering if the one response from "inmyview" has the statistics to every apartment community in Charlotte since they mentioned Autumn Park has the worst crime of all. That seems like a pretty big statement to make without the proof to back it up.
