I find it amazing that ANYONE who lives here has anything nice to say. I am 99.9% sure that the only good comments on this site are posted by the complex itself!!!!!!!
That Being said, my husband got home from work tonight to find a Car, right in front of our apartment broken into! We called the police, but since it isn't during "office hours" (who knew that law enforcement had office hours') we couldn't get an officer to come out. Fortunately, on our way back into the Apartment we saw a guy on the balcony, and asked him if it was his, and it actually was!!!
While talking to the obviously upset and disgusted guy, we found out that less then a week ago, there were gunshots here! I can't believe that we were naive enough to think that his complex was actually a nice family environment!!! The apartments suck! The mold, mildew, crappy Heating and Air, the whole place is nothing more then a bunch of nicely placed cheep material. Seriously, this complex can't even install weather stripping around the door frame to keep out bugs, and any other little pests that want to escape the cold!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! TRUST US,WE HAVE FOUND MUCH NICER, CLEANER, SAFER AND MORE AFFORDABLE RENT JUST DOWN THE ROAD!!!!!!!!! AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE SUCKED IN BY THE OFFICE STAFF, THE SMILES ARE A FRONT FOR A LAZY STAFF WHO WON'T EVEN TAKE THE TIME TO ANSWER THE PHONE, OR LISTEN TO A MESSAGE WHEN YOU TAKE THE TIME TO LEAVE ONE!!!!!! RUN, FAR, FAR AWAY!!!!!!
Oh yes, I almost forgot, not long after we moved in we got a note, on the door (which is apparently the ONLY way these people communicate!) stating to be safe, girls are being attacked just by walking in their door! I was fooled into thinking that they would continue to notify us if there was crime! What a joke, we know of at least a half dozen break ins, and countless other crimes being committed, but I guess they would rather put their paying tenants personal property and safety at risk then admit there is a problem.
Oh, and the "surveillance" the property is under is another load! If we had ANY surveillance, they would be able to do SOMETHING, hell ANYTHING about the crime!!!!!

Crime has no address. It happens here and ballentyne. I have lived at Barrington for a while and havn't experienced such problem. I have had to have a few things here and there fixed and it has been taken care of properly and in a timely manner. I havn't ever heard gun shots, which is something in a community of this size you would hear. I am not saying it didn't happen. When I moved in I was told that the gate wasn't for security that is was a preventative feature, you have the choice of having your car and your home alarmed. With out a police report no community can do anything about it. It isn't their responsibility to watch your car. It happens everywhere. My old car was stolen a few days before I moved to Barrington, so that goes to show no matter where you are things can happen. These cases are why you have renter's insurance and car insurance. Call the police, not the office. What is the office going to do? Go question everyone? Just because you are upset doesn't mean the place sucks...I live here too and have very few problems.

Well, maybe you didn't read the flyer's that they put on all of our doors. Numerous cars have been broken into, and some stolen. So maybe you should do your research, try talking to the other residents to find out how many have had problems.
And the police were called, apparently they only respond during their offie hours of 9 till 5:30. We saw the car of the people who stole from this parking lot. Tenants from 3 different Apartments (2 different buildings) saw the criminals running, and the police simply didn't have time to deal with it.
The best part is when moving in management told us to call the police if the office was closed, since we have "security vehicles" that will ride through each night, and when called. Yet another lie from the Complex. Again, I would be willing to bet the person responding works for the property!!!!

oh that review is definetly written by the apartment because "the crime has no address" and "gates not being for security" is exactly the letter that i got when i wrote a letter to the apartment about the gates being broken and my car being broke into three times thats really sad that the comples has to write reviews about how great they are hahah how sad this
