More crime, which seems to be the norm here at Barrington! Of course crime is everywhere, but here, it occurs almost nightly. After a neighbor had his car broken into, my husbands car was the victim of crime! Just 2 nights after our nieghbor's window was smashed, the same guys hit again!
I'm sure this will get the usual lame response from an Unknown renter (ei, employee) stating grow up, or get a grip, but still, people need to know! Safety shouldn't be a luxery. Coming home to a clean, safe, quit complex is NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK.
Forget about complaining! This wonderful community has a very unique way to fight crime... leave a note. And if you complain about noise they... leave a note. Even trash in the stairwells... a note. To quote the one about crime... "we have recently had some cars stolen as well as broken into." But within a matter of days, someone from the complex will log on here, and lie to anyone who will read, saying that they are a tenant, and no nothing of these problems. Another line from their little note "Crime knows no address". I just wanted to mention that line because they have actually used the same exact line on here denying others complaints.
Trust me, you can find much nicer Apartmets, even Town Houses for the same price, and be 10 times safer. The worst part to me is my husband and I decided to make this our first home, since from the outside it appears nice, and sadly we will be telling horror stories of Barrington Place for years to come.
Keep looking when you are ready to move! It's worth the effort. Trust me, I now know from experience.

Wow, Are you serious is this really true ? They are gorgeous apt homes from the outside I am really concerned about safety being that I have a teenager. I would hate to have to use deadly force by just trying to protect whats mine and my family. What can you tell me about the break ins are they breaking and entering within the the apts ? Oh my God have there been actually rapes going on at this location and I show the last posting was in 01/08 so wht is going on there now in 05/08 ? Thank you for your time !!
