I lived at Timber Creek for 3 years under both management companies. When the place was under the care of Camden we really enjoyed living there. It was cheap, the people were friendly, and it WAS in a nice location. Recently it's had many break-in's and damage to vehicles. Not to mention a very recent hostage/suicide situation that kept many people out of their appartments for an entire evening...(Hey everybody, we have to go out to dinner while our groceries spoil in the back of the car). Not that this is the fault of management, but it is definately a different crowd from what we were used to with Camden.
My first encounter was foreshadowing to say the least. I was in the office to put money on my laundry card and introduced myself to the new management team. This was the first time I met ------ and she was both friendly and pleasant (both entirely fake, but welcome and expected given the fact she had probably been meeting residents all day). I was with my dog and we went back to my appartment. No big deal, until I come home from work to find a little folded white piece of paper placed in my mail slot.
Dear Resident, <-- Friendly
We noticed you have a pet, but have not paid a pet fee.
The fee is 300 dollars, please take care of this promptly.
Please call if you have any questions. <-- No Number'''
Sincerely, <-- So sincere...

First Warning <-- A little harsh'
Well I did pay my pet fee. I paid it with Camden. No problem, I'll just go down to the office with my Camden lease that shows I paid it. I get to the office and it's now closed, EARLIER than it used to AND they were also closed on Sunday. Glad I put money on my laundry card earlier or I would have been screwed! So, I figure *i'll just call the office, and let them know i'll be in Monday morning.* Of course there's no number on the notice. So it took me 2 days to do something that should have taken 2 minutes. It was a sign of things to come.
Next came the random notices saying I owe the office 10 dollars. And it was ALWAYS exactly TEN. They were never able to explain what it was for and it was always a hassle to prove them wrong. Once I went to ------ to call her out on the $10 charge and when she looked up my account she said I didn't owe anything. After that I figured I couldn't be the only one this happend to because these notes were all over the place. Turns out I was right and my theory is that the 2 losers, ------- and ---, that run the place when ------ isn't there were fishing to see how many people they could trick into paying $10 so they could go out drinking after work (which they ALWAYS talked about). Wouldn't be the first time those two tried to rip me off.
We were expecting nice Ohmaha steaks for my birthday from my mom and I was tracking them online to see when they arrived. When they did I went down to the office to get them and they said nothing of the sort was delivered. OK... So I call UPS,, they said they delivered it, I call the office to get ------ and shes gone for the day. It was around 2pm. So I wait and go the next day and SURPRISE! they are there now, all rotten and spoiled. Those 2 jerks tried to steal my steaks at my sisters generous expense and now they were wasted. Whatever. It got worse.
One evening, I'm leaving for work and I pull up to the pressure sensitive exit gate. It's not moving and obviously broken, so I got out of my car and swung the gate open and continue on to work. As I'm leaving I call the office (which I learned needed to be on my speed dial) to let them know that the gate was broken and open. OK, no big deal. I come home and the next day (Friday) at 5:15pm they put a note on my door stating that I owe Beacon Timber Creek 700 DOLLARS for damages to the exit gate!!! Now Im pissed, I call the office, D-bag #2 answes the phone, I ask for ------, and she's gone for the day.
REALLY ------! You're going to leave a note on my door at 5:15 on Friday, knowing you're not going to be back until Monday. Well I'll be damned if I didn't look that fools number up on the internet and called that idiot at home. I just couldn't understand why this woman would just sign her name to anything with no understanding of the facts. I again had to prove them wrong, but this was the last time. After this incident I posted my first "warning" (review) a few days later and guess who calls me the very next day. Well it was lil' miss sweet as pie ------ -------. I didn't call back that day and she started calling my cell phone multiple times a day. She would leave a message and call again. It was INSANE BEHAVIOR! She wanted to terminate my lease because "She didn't want anybody living there who wasn't happy."
Well guess what ------, it looks like you'll be terminating quite a few leases based on that criteria and some of the reviews I've read. Have fun finding a new job in this economy and trading the lexus in for a KIA...
Oh, and if you move here I hope you like leaf-blowers because you'll hear them every teusday at 7:30 am.

Wow I have talked to people that live there and all of them say the worst thinks about the manager, and I know these people. They are good people and are the type that pay their rent on time and don't get into trouble. Too many people ahve said bad things about this palce. I am looking for an apatment and didn't even bother to stop thre. They funny thing is the apartments next to them, The Overlook are so much better and the workers their said a lot of people form Beacon have come over their because of the problems.
