I don't care what anyone else says, staff member or ex staff member, this place, in my opinion (as an actual resident of Bexley Creekside, and I have the bank statements to prove it), is in some serious need of help!!
The staff here ARE rude! New or Old!!! And they have been so every since I have been here (which for the record is 2 years and 4 months). They are OH SO nice when you are looking, but once they have you its like a door in the face. I actually had a problem that I needed and asked for some help with. Was I helped' NO,instead of helped I was snubbed. I had decided to have the family over for mothers day and have a cook out at the pool. I even cleared it with the staff ahead of time and they said no problem.WELL, the only 1 grill that they have here was messed up. Some yahoo res had used charcoal in it, and its a gas grill. You can see why this would keep it from working. And I didn't discover this until the morning of the day that I had invited about 15 of my family over. So I'm standing there with raw ribs, chicken and hamburger and nothing to cook it on and my family was suppose to start arriving in 1/2 an hour! I went into the club house and found the ONLY staff member that was apparently there and told her the entire story and asked for ANY help she could give. I even offered to pay the maintence guy out of my own pocket since it's their day off. So what was her idea of help' A perplexed look and then she said "Well I don't know what to tell you, I have to open the office. AND I have an appointment (I am assuming with a future resident)first thing. So I have to take care of that" WHAT''' The people who don't even live here yet or pay any of her salary are more important than the people that have lived here for longer than shes worked here''' I just kept staring at her as thought I had just seen her head spin around until it seemed to dawn on her that I wouldn't leave until she said something else. She then said she'd see what she could do and to go wait out by the pool and she'd let me know. OMG!!! So now all my family has shown up, including some very hungry kids and I have no way of cooking the food. We waited awhile and then I went back in and was promptly brushed off with a very fake smile (I guess she didn't like me saying in front of her potential new lease that I had a problem and she wasn't helping) and had someones on the way. Mean while my brother and boyfriend had been working on the grill and finally got it to light. Would you believe that we went through our entire cooking of the meal, eating of the meal, and an after meal swim and still noone came out from the office to help. I went back into the office after my family left and the same cow was there, and this time not even doing anything. She looked up at me with an big smile and then seeing it was me dropped the smile off her face like it hurt her to smile. She said "uh, yes, did anyone ever show up and help you with that problem you were having'" and I replied "yeah, strangest thing, noone did show up. You did call someone didn't you'" and she replied "Well actually there was noone available to help with that today" I calmly said through clenched teeth "Then why didn't you come out and tell us that'" I mean for all she knew we were still standing out there with raw meat and hungry kids. Her reply' "I've been very busy today." then as though it was an after thought and not at all sincere ,"sorry." And she just sat there looking at me smugly. I stormed off and have had no better luck with ANY of the staff that I have had the misfortune of having to deal here since then.
Except for Zeak ,who was a maintence guy and always very nice. And there have been MANY stories like this one spanning over the time I've been here involving the staff and their lack of help or lack of enthusiasm to help. I won't go on about them here but if anyone is interested feel free to e-mail and I'll tell you all about my experiences at Bexley.
That said I will not, nor ever will recommend Bexley Creekside to ANYONE that ask me, not even someone I didn't like, because I would hate to think I was the reason for this place making any more money!!!
FYI, I am breaking my lease as soon as I can find somewhere to move!!
