This is the first time i am reviewing an apartment online and I am going to do my best to stay objective. it may be lt may be lengthy but I hope it help you to make an informed decision about this complex.
If this apartment is the last apartment you have looked at, DONT STOP LOOKING because there are better places not too far from it.

This is my experience
1. Pay attention to the lease term on the paper and beware of Mary. I ended up with a 9-month lease instead of 6-months.
when i noticed later i asked her about it, she was hysterical and the manager was not helpful, even though i had all the quotes they gave me. When I talked to the manager Angela, she looked into the system and found out that they didn't even give me a quote on the apartment they rented to me. They gave me a quote for one apartment and rented something else to me. Even though they said its nine 9 months lease the date actually shows from 9th of the beginning month to 30th of the ending month. I know i am bound by it because i signed it but i will let the corporate office know that unethical business practice.

2. If they offer anything, make sure it is written down on the lease.
I was told water and sewage was part of the rent only to find out it was not. But i didnt make a big deal about it.

3. if you don't inspect the apt, please do your self a favor and not sign the lease. The carpet was not steam cleaned. they had blotted patches out the very morning i was moving in because when i got to the office i saw told another lady had just went to clean my apt and i saw hey with the cleaning supplies when used to blot out. i moved from out of state so i didn't get to see inspect it.

4. Make sure you take pictures of everything that you notice. They ask you to sign a blank checklist pending a return of the completed checklist. Well, I returned the completed checklist to Angela the Manager and told her about the fact that the carpet was not steam cleaned. when i went back to check on my lease agreement i requested to get a copy of the checklist from Angela and she could not find the completed checklist but had the uncompleted signed copy. Now can you see how that can cause issues when you are trying to move out. I must say that she gave me another checklist to complete... Well at this time i was already heated so i guess she felt she had to. there were scratches on the walls and door had visible patches. I do have pictures though.

5. If you are a non smoker and cares about your neighbors second hand smoke coming into your bath room then this is not the place for you. the is one reason i could not wait to move. I an not blaming this on them because i didn't even think they could do anything about it but it matters to me. I have to alway leave my vent on so i wonder about the person on the third floor.

6. Maintenance crew will leave a notice to change filter and never come by until months later. I know they never came by because i home during their working hours. if you care about your utility bill then i will assume you will care about when filters get changed. they are not horrible but not superb. toilet flapper work sometime and sometimes i have to fix it myself. thats increase in water bill right there.

7. For a person working from home, i did not have problems with noise in the complex. They walls are thin though and i could hear my neighbor's phone ringing but not a big deal.

8. Safety: If you are looking for a predominantly professional community, then this is not it. Someone allegedly shot themselves in my complex but the cops could not find the gun. Go figure.

9. If you will receive packages at the office, watch out. One time, the post office dropped a package for me and the person at the office told me they couldn't find it but it is possible the mail man took it back even though they left me a slip that thy left it at the office. The lady told me it was my responsibility to find out from the post office so i called them and the post office threatened to stop leaving packages with them. i went back to the office later and they found it for me. Now, if they can tell me this story, then why will i trust my package at the office.

10. Gym is not all that. Very few equipments.

11. The are no lights in the living room nor the bedrooms. No ceiling fans. I knew i was going to move out at the end of my lease from day one thinking i had a 6 months lease.
The sockets are bad. If you choose to rent here don't use just an ordinary surge protector if you care about your electronic equipments. when i switch the lights, i can tell the impact in my electronic equipments.
People say, you get what you pay for but i think you can do better. i am paying 700 water for 2BR. Well i didn't need a 2 BR in the first place. I have looked else where and i still could have done better especially considering all of the above.
You will find a better place if you DO NOT RENT AT CAMDEN FOREST.
