Having nowhere to live I moved into Campus Edge thinking that it couldn't be too bad and that I could walk to school.
I have never been in a more frustrating living situation. Poor construction, awful parking, terrible noise, incompetent staff.
We have gates that aren't even in use. I live in a "gated community", as they like to advertise, but we've had break ins and there's barely any security. Since the gates have been broken theres been security guards at the entrance but they don't stop you - anyone can just drive by.
A new lease [which I thankfully did not have to sign] has made putting trash out onto your porch an excuse to slap you with a 400 dollar fine. I understand they are "trying" to keep the apartment "nice" but these people just love to fine/charge you for anything and everything.
Towing. I don't understand how giving the whole complex about 10 official visitor's parking spaces is fair and then towing people who are not in those spaces. While residents who don't know how the hell to park a car, parking in two spaces making it more difficult to find a parking place, don't get towed. The office says "We only have 1 space per person" and they don't care if someone is taking up two'

The gate works! Parking is a problem due to the fact that non-residents like to park on the property so they can walk to campus. This is why there is a towing policy in place.
