I've been here several months and am loving it so far. My 1BR is more spacious than my uptown apartment was, and I have a pantry and linen closet which make a big difference. I love the upscale feel of my apartment and feel safe with the access gate and security alarm which is included. The timing bar gets run down regularly but they always get it back up quickly, you still need an access card to open the metal gate. The planes are a lot less noisy than the uptown train, I don't even hear them most of the time. I live on the second/third floor and never hear any of my neighbors except the person upstairs a little. It's better to live on a higher floor if you want quiet. The apartment complex is 90-something % full and there is ample parking. There will be some trashy residents in any apartment complex you will live in, here or uptown, that's just the way the market is these days. I hope the quality of living here does not decline though. I-77 and I-485 are very convenient and I love living 1 mile from the Whitehall Shopping Center (SuperWalmart, Lowes, Blockbuster, Panera Bread, ABC store, upscale Bi-Lo believe it or not...)

Overall, the office staff are friendly and helpful. My only regret is that I didn't ask enough questions of them and was surprised to find out that residents pay for water, and cable is included in each apartment but you have to pay $40 monthly in addition to rent.

My apartment is in excellent condition and the pool, laundry room and excercise facility are adequate. Compared to living uptown, this is a complete 180. I'm paying less in rent for a larger and nicer place.
