There are leaks in the roof that have been leaking for over two years. Management won't replace light bulbs until about 3/4 of the current ones are burned out - making the stairs dark and dangerous to negotiate.
Most places have rules for keeping the common halls/stairs clear for fire safety. This place doesn't appear to ever have been inspected by the fire department.
The railings are coming loose, and nail pops are everywhere.
Windows don't have screens, so opening the windows on nice Spring or Fall days means allowing the insects inside.
Speaking of insects, it's taken them about four years to get rid of the ant problem!
At least one apartment has had window air conditioners installed because the landlord can't - or won't - fix the regular A/C unit.
Now they're raising the rents, and the place isn't worth what we're paying now!
Frankly, we think the owners are either wanting to tear the place down and build a new place, or gut it and turn it into condos. Either way, current tennants are getting the shaft!
