Ive lived here for only 1 year and there have been so many problems with this place.
First of, the crime. Within 2 weeks of living here,someone broke into my car and stole my radio. My car was locked and it was an old beatup stereo so it wasnt like I was stupid about leaving something nice out in plain view. The apartment office was like yeah that happens alot here. Then I caught someone trying to break into our storage on our patio. I called the police and the apartment complex to let them know in case someone else had been robbed. I left a voicemail and never even got a call back. Then a neighborhood kid, 10-years old, at 10pm went around the complex and was slashing tires for no reason. There have been several other cases of crime, like someone shooting a gun in the woods at night right next to our building and a women getting beaten when mugged right outside of her building. To say the least, I dont feel safe at ALL when I am home.
As for the maintance, Ive had several problems with them coming and fixing something. The kitchen sink was leaking pretty badly and mold was growing under the sink, and it took them 2 weeks and leaving a voicemail every day to get it fixed. Even simple things like a problem with the kitchen light took multiple trips to get fixed. The maintance staff itself is nice for the most part.
Now the office staff! When we first moved in there was several people in the office that were nice and helpful, but now there isnt a single one in there that has any idea on what customer service is. My lease ended and I needed to go to a month to month basis until I closed on my new house. I was told what the last month would be. When I got my closing date, I called and gave my 30 notice and was told a different amount for the last month of rent. $75 less than the first quote, so I stopped by the office after work and they confirmed the 2nd qoute, so I paid my rent. Then a few days later, I get a letter on my door saying that I need to pay my rent or get evicted. My rent check had cleared, so I know they got it. When I got to the office they told me that I didnt pay the right amount. The new manager (who started only a week and a half before)said I didnt have to pay the difference. While talking to the manager, we realized that the people that we talked to on the phone and in person did NOT put our 30 day notice into their system. 2 days later, just by chance, I found a sticker on my 2nd car saying that the complex was going to tow it away cause it didnt have proper tags and inspection. I had proper tags and inspection on that car the whole time Ive lived here. The office staff didnt even know what to tell me. Besides the staff being worthless and incompetent, there are a few that are EXTREMELY RUDE! Ive gone into the office to simply pick up a package, and the office lady was appalled that she had to go look for it in the closet where they keep the packages, because I didnt get a notice on my door that it had come, but I had tracking on the package and it said it was shipped.
