These apartments are quite old, and although the staff will fix things when they break, that is their legal obligation. The other thing to consider is that these guys are ultra cheap, for example, when my toilet broke, they replaced it, but I'm pretty sure the unit I have now is like a $15 toilet.

The other bothersome aspect of living here is the noise. If you end up living on the first floor, and the tenants upstairs have so much as a loud IPod, prepare to share whatever they are listening to, because the floors are made of balsawood.
