First of all, 80% of reviews on these websites are false or made by staff members. Do yourself a favor and drive to these places and talk to current residence or at very least call the office to talk to the staff.

My wife and I have lived at the Colony for about 1.5 years and are moving out into our first house next month. I can honestly say that we are sad to go and loved living here. The location is wonderful (walk to Starbucks, the mall, restuarants, shops, grocery store, etc), the staff is amazing. One of the office workers even fed our cat one weekend when we were away and forget to have someone look after her. The appartments themselves are old but clean. Yes, we have seen some roaches but you would be hard pressed to find any appartment in Charlotte that does not have them. Just buy some roach traps from the store and it takes care of most of the problem.

I would recommend this to family and friends and would move back in a second if our house plans fall through.
