This apartment complex is one of the holdouts in Southpark which will likely be razed to make way for (more profitable) new shopping or condos once the housing mess rebounds. The apartments are old, and as expected there are roaches, waterbugs, and the occasional mouse. Nothing a couple mouse traps and some cockroach sticky strips in your kitchen and bedroom can't fix. Water gets shut off pretty regularly trying to find some mysterious leak. The power also goes out on occasion, so have a battery alarm clock or you will be late for work once in awhile. There IS crime due to the fact that these are apartments in an affluent neighborhood with open street level access so have insurance...I and a few other residents carry / keep firearms, but that is up to your security preference. Look at the crime instances at Southpark Mall (right across the street) for more crime stats...mostly small-time muggings, car theft, and assault, so nothing major, just be vigilant and you'll be fine. It's a good place for the fascade and the money, so give them a chance!
