We were moving from out-of-state and selected Creekwood from the internet. Everything looked great on the website and the management seemed helpful about setting us up with an apartment. We paid a lease deposit of $225 and just needed to sign it when we got there. Things did not turn out well. Our biggest mistake was signing the lease without having the management show us the apartment or the grounds. They were understaffed and were swarmed with tenants in the office so we decided it wasnt necessary, even though they didnt offer. We got to the apartment complex on a Tuesday morning and noticed the parking lot was 80% full. We wondered if people in the complex worked. The apartment was fine on the inside it was the community that was frightening. Everyone was home during the day racing cars through the parking lot blaring loud music. We noticed that tenants were using the balconies for storage, covered with boxes and couches. Very unattractive. The real kicker came when we left for a few hours and came back and there was a used condom on our doorstep. Within a few hours of signing the lease, my husband called it quits. They let us out of the lease but did not give us the $225 back. Our impression within a few minutes was that the apartment community had no respect for their environment or for their fellow neighbors and the management was letting people abuse the complex. Not a place to live if you want to feel safe and happy.
