Very Poor Service...Stay Away from This Property!!!

I have been living at the Crestmont for 2 years. For the first year under the old management, the service was very good and attentive. For the second year, since GCI took over, the service has gone downhill. First, rent checks are lost on a regular basis. Not just me, but from talking to other residence, theirs too!!! A BIG RED FLAG right there!!! Maintenance is also now very poor. They do not respond to emergencies at all. My neighbor had their toilet overflow and spill water on the floor. They called maintience and they said "it can wait until Monday because they had another toilet." They were also very rude about it. Thus the water damage went thru the ceiling into the living room and damaged personal belongings. Needless to say this individual is moving out, after living here for 9 years. Finally, the noise level is very loud and is ignored by the staff. I personally have asked the staff to rectify the situation multiple times and it has not been taken care of. This has been going on for a year and the loud noise still exists. Finally, the management staff is VERY rude!!! You get a feeling like they don t care about you or your issues. I will say that the leasing staff is very nice and concerned about problems. However, it is the management staff that makes the decisions and is the face of the company. They are the ones that need to be attentive to customers and provide proper customer service. Thus, id recommend to the corporate management of this property to shape up fast and make immediate changes!!! Why, there is too much competition on Ballantyne Commons Parkway alone, not to mention Charlotte, NC in general!! They have to be completely ignorant if they think tenants will put up with this mistreatment. If it keeps, up this property will fail miserably and becomes a ghost town. Deservedly so if changes are not made immediately!!! So my final advice, stay away!!! Don't waste your hard earned money and these high rents for bad service. Look elsewhere and you will be happy. I know once my lease is up, im out of here. Furthermore, I am telling individuals I work with and meet, NOT to rent from the Crestmont!!!
