I'm glad to see other people agree with what a dump this place is. The positive reviews have to be wrote by the staff posing as residents. They are nicer apartments like Matthews Crossing, Charleston Place, or Timbercrest. First of all, the staff and management has been nothing but unprofessional and incompetent. Like a previous review wrote I've also dealt with cabinets falling off, stained carpet, and the bathroom faucet falling off. I also had ridiculous power bills. One of Eastlake's maintenance men befriended my husband and told him the apartments are very poorly insulated and thats why the utility bills are so high. They were built in 1972 and you can definitely see that. The walls are settling and the floor cracks and pops in every room. Old outdated appliances. Mailboxes were constantly broken into. The brink steps leading to our front door were broken and unsafe. The pool was always dirty. The equipment room is tiny and has maybe 4 pieces in it. I also experienced theft more than once. No security system is offered. The windows are very old and not energy efficient. Take a walk around the place before renting, you'll see. They poor more money into landscaping than into upkeep. There were many weekends you could hear gunshots all hours of the night. If my husband were out of town on business I would not stay at our apartment. I'm so glad we're out of there. I've learned to read reviews first and learned that word of mouth can be the best or worst advertising. GOOD LUCK, you've been warned!!

Thanks for agreeing with me. I need to learn to proof read first. Few misspelled words but I got my point across. *brink should have been brick. *Poor should have been put.

she is telling the honest truth, while i stayed there in 2007 my girlfriend witness a man pull a gun out on another man in broad daylight. i was at work , but after that i knew it was time to leave. east lake should be Condemned. dont live here unless your a criminal and you enjoy drugs, violence, and crime.
