In March of 2006 I was in the process of relocating back to my hometown of Charlotte, NC from ghetto, stagnant and redneck Memphis, TN. I got in touch at the time with a nice young lady who owns an apartment locator business. She highly-recommended Echo Forest over the other choices I was considering on Hwy 51 because she lived there for a few years before she got her own place and had a great experience. She put me in touch with a nice gentleman in the office at Echo Forest Apartments. He is likely the same guy named Jim I read about in the other posted reviews. If he is a bit in touch with his feminine side than we are talking about the same guy. [No offense intended here Jim. Take it as a compliment] :-)
Indeed, the gentleman was extremely courteous. He showed me an apartment close to the main entrance. The apartments were cute. Garden tub, white cabinets, etc. Jim and his boss, I recall she was a lady, really tried hard to accomodate me because I had good credit, I was referred by the apartment locater, etc. I opted not to move there simply because my furniture would not fit in their small living room. The fireplace took a big chunk out of the living room. Also, I was concerned because the middle part of the bedroom and the dinning room floor squeeked and felt like it was giving in. I did not want to cause any noise to a neighbor below since I have experienced people in the past who lived above me stomping.
I would highly-recommend Echo Forest Apartments if the living room size is not an issue. Otherwise, Kudos to Jim and the rest of the staff there.
