I've been living in Heatherwood for about 6 months now. It's not as bad as some of these people make it out to be. Don't get me wrong there are some problems. It is kind of dirty on the outside of the apartments, the staff is not the best I've ever seen, and there are a few shady characters around. But for the most part it's alright. For the price, it's hard to find a decent apartment in a decent area in Charlotte. I'm not saying that other people who have posted reviews on this site are exaggerating their experiences, but for me it's not that bad. So if you don't mind living in some older just decent apartments you should be straight, but if you expect to live in the lap of luxury you might want to go some place else.
