A TRULY LOUSY, DANGEROUS PLACE TO LIVE.
A LEASING AGENT WAS MURDERED BY A TENANT SHE RENTED TO.
DISGUSTING PLACE.
FRAUDULENT WATER BILLS.
FILTHY LAUNDRY ROOM WITH NO HOT WATER AND HIGH CHARGES.
INNOCENT PEOPLE BEING SHOT.

The leasing agent was not murdered at Heatherwood and I've never heard of anyone going into anyones mailbox.

They did go into the mailboxes to put notices that tenants would have no water. The notices were late so many tenants were caught by surprise without water. Then the tenants had to run up their water bills to clear the filthy water/lines and were offered no compensation by mgt. This was the 2nd time in a week tenants had no water and no proper notice by mgt to go out and buy water to drink, cook, brush teeth, etc.

Yes a leasing agent was murdered, I still have the letter that they put on everyone's door from when I was living in that piece of crap.

The leasing agent was murdered by a resident at Heatherwood but she was murdered at another Colonial Property (Charleston PLace) He was her ex boyfriend. It is ILLEGAL for them to go into anyones mailbox and they certainly should NOT be putting notices in there. I would call the police about that. They legally can not go into your mailbox without your written permission.

well, it is a very unsafe place and the leasing agent was murdered. She wasnt the only one murdered here. Someone was murdered (shot)at the town homes near the lake that belongs to Heatherwood. They had yellow tape everywhere and people were not allowed to enter that apartment without the Police's permission. There are drug deals going on. In fact there are drug dealers in my own apartment building. The apartment managers lie whenever you ask them about any of the crimes going on around here. We have the right to know what is going on in our own community...so that we can be prepared. Some of us have kids. Also, there has been several break ins. Not only that you hear gun shots almost every night. One neighbor found several casings in our parking lot.
Now to say the least someone else was shot dead 3 days ago near the apartment office.
Definately not a safe place to live!

No one has ever been murdered here. Why dont you idots get your facts straight before you post things on here. Unfortunatly yes a leasing staff memeber was murdered last year but it was a domestic dispute situation that occured at a completely different property and not by anyone living here at heatherwood. The office staff can not comment on crime, its against the law. If you want to know information about crime contact the CMPD. They are the ones who deal with crime. How can you expect the leasing office to stop criminal activities? If the residents that lived here would stop hanging around with slum then the crime would stop. And maybe if residents like the ones who sit on their --- and comment on here would call the police when they see something, then things may get better. So its fine just sit on your --- and moan and complain and do nothing. And by the way the office staff does contact the cmpd when residents report things and they also do criminal check on all residents that are over 18, so get your facts straight

Do you know how many times I called the cops while living at Heatherwood? and guess what?!?! THEY wouldn't even show up, surely because they feared their lives just as much as the residents!!!

I am moving here and I can honestly tell you that I have grew up in worse places. If you keep to yourself wont no one bother you. Crime is everywhere. It is unfortunate the agent died but you have to remember that happens EVERYWHERE!!!!!

lol calling the cops to HeatherNdahood was like calling and ordering pizza from dominos. 45 to 50 minute wait. well actually i could have ordered pizza and probably got it before the cops show up. and yeah why dont you stupid people that work for heatherndahood get your facts straight or stop lying on here trying to cover your butts. yes, the lady was murdered who cares where. the person that murdered her LIVED at heatherndahood. and that is not the only horrible thing that happened here. and i agree the water bills are fraudulent i think i was paying for my entire building!

The leasing agent that was murdered worked at Heatherwood but was shot by her ex-boyfriend at her apartment in Charleston Place. This was a domestic dispute... I worked with her and it was a horrible thing that happened. It breaks my heart everytime I look to see if the ratings have gone up to see that someone is throwing around the Leasing Agent Was Murdered post. She was a great person, a mother of two, and a great friend. Please do not use her situation to justify your reasonings for not liking Heatherwood. Heatherwood has a lot of work to do, but all in all, the office staff does try very hard to handle each complaint that is taken.

Tina (the leasing agent referred to in this statement) was my friend and she WAS murdered at another colonial property by her ex-boyfriend... look him up, his name is Kenneth Bryant and is serving years in prison. Kenneth LIVED at Heatherwood at the time of the murder. These are FACTS. The problem with Heatherwood is there is no support from the corporate office. Tina complained to me all the time about her being cussed out and yelled at for problems with the property. Her and her staff would tell the corporate people, but they never wanted to put the time, effort, or money into fixing the issues. All they wanted was leases, they didnt care who or how, they just wanted the occupancy up. She told me one time, that Colonial has a goal of 50% turnover of employees, thats why she had 3 different managers in her short time working there, before she was murdered. ALSO.... COLONIAL DOES NOT DO CRIMINAL CHECKS! That is a bold faced LIE! All these employees on here, we are not stupid... we know what is real and what is made up. WE LIVED THERE NOT YOU! We know you cant control everything and that it is not all your fault, as you were dealt the cards to work with, however, it is your job to be honest and try. Every property I have ever lived at, anytime there is a CRIME issue, they send out a note. It is NOT against the law, that is an excuse for you to not want to put out the notices, as I am sure you would have to do one every day!! HELL-HOOD is not the place you want to live or your family to live.
