I have lived here going on 3 years now and the only reason is b/c this is the only place i can afford for myself and daughter.

When we first moved in (2007), i didn't notice any problems with maintenance. But I guess they are having a lot of turnover and NOTHING seems to get fixed! I have to follow up EVERY DAY until it is fixed and i think the maintenance manager decides if it is an "emergency" or not! It took them a WEEK to fix the problem with my toilet and you know what - the first issue was with the handle and instead of properly fixing it and buying ta new part for it, they just "rigged" and on top of the that the maintenance man admitted that he didn't correctly get the float set corrected the first time! UGH luckily i had a 2nd toilet!

I have had the same issue with my refrigerator (the refrigerator is leaking within the inside and ruining my food and also the water is freezing which in turn is ruining the vegetables and fruit that are in the refrigerator!)

I have never had complaints about my neighbors regarding noise, etc. But I have complained b/c the neighbors will leave their garbage outside for days b/c they are too lazy to put it in their car to take the the trash compactor. Before there wre many dumpsters around the complex and very convenient. If they wanted to improve the image of the complex then they should improve everything else also!

I am in a 2b/2b apt and i think the rooms are big enough, the bathrooms are decent size, the living room is good and it is neat b/c there is a little "niche" where 2 windows are that i have put my desk and it doesn't take up room in the LR. Now the kitchen is small - no counter space at all! I would recommend a bakers rack to set your microwave on and other items for the pantry b/c the cabinets that are they only fit your dishes and glasses, really no room for your canned vegetables, etc. The stove and dishwasher are old, but work. I do wonder how energy efficient they are, b/c my electric bill is outrageous. I do have a problem with the a/c where it doesn't seem like my bedroom gets cooled off although the rest of the apt. seems to'!

I don't like the fact that there isn't ceiling lights or fans :( Only ceiling light is in the kitchen and dining room and of course the bathrooms.

Overall, my lease is coming up and I think I might move somewhere else, depends on how much they want to raise my rent - I have to decide whether i want to live in what i consider the hood/ghetto and continue to be fed up with the lack of maintenance or do i pay a little more to get new appliances and hopefully quick response to maintenance!'
