I lived in two different apartments at the Highlands, through 3 managers, and countless maintenance. I have to say, that until the new manager and staff came, I wouldn't recommed this place to my worst enemy. However, Terri and staff (sorry for use of names- and I can't remember all of them) fixed ALL of my problems timely and with an upbeat and positive spirit! I lived in both a 2 bedroom flat, and a 2 bedroom townhouse. I didn't have to call maintenance but once afterhours. The grounds are spotless (but need pine-straw) and the amenities are well kept and clean. Overall, the apartments are FaBuLoUs... the best part is cable and alarms are included plus a garage! The area does struggle with college kids (but management keeps the noise in check), and its not the best place if you have children (no playground)... but, it is close to everything and very spacious. The only reason why I moved out is because I bought a house. So I do recommend this community to anyone looking for a spacious apartment at a good price. 5 stars for the management... a great and caring staff! I received my security deposit refund within 10 days of moving out... now that's FAST!

So poo on the below comments regarding the staff and deposit issues... hello- if i had a brain, i would be thankful that the deposit was endorsed to both leaseholders! Come on people- get a life!
