My Review

I've lived at the Hunt Club for a year and a half and am glad I chose this apartment complex.

I did a lot of research on the university area before I moved here on places and streets to avoid and this is one of the better areas. Like avoid the apartment complexes off WT Harris..

The office staff are generally nice and I guess since I never really have any problems or have to deal with them I can't really say for sure if they are good at dealing with things or not. But it's a good sign I never have to deal with them right'

The maintenance men are great guys. They always go out of their way to help us out even if it means taking away from their lunch hour or after work hours. Whenever we put in a work order (which is rare) it has always gotten fixed that same day which is very rare for apartment complexes.. at least it was rare where I've lived before.

The actual apartments are really nice. The only problems I have had here is ants in the summer time because the windows and doors don't seem to be properly sealed off, and the kitchen sink leaks a little bit. The worst problem was definitely the ants and we just had to take care of that problem ourselves because it was ridiculous.

Other than that noise level is pretty low. I think that all depends on what building you are in and what kind of neihbors you have. The people in this building are all quiet nice people. But the ones next to us I wouldn't want to be near after dark.

In the daytime here I usually feel pretty safe. When I first moved here I always felt safe but I have definitely noticed a rapid decline in that. There was recently a van driving around that was trying to break into cars and shots were fired. The office staff did send out a notice to all residents though and as far as I know nothing major has happened here. But shady people do hang around outside after dark and I know of a few things going around I don't like at all. But I guess you can get bad people in any apartment complex. I don't hang around outside at night so it really isn't an issue for me. It's something to think about though.

The pool and jacuzzi area is really nice and is kept clean. The inside ammenties are great with new equipment in the gym, a great indoor basketball court and racquetball.

The laundry center pretty much sucked when I used it. The machines ate quarters, didn't dry my clothes, were broken, or all in use. So I got my own washer and dryer and eliminated that problem. Plus it's annoying having to use quarters and there is no quarter machine anywhere near the property.

Parking near my building is excellent but I can tell it's not for some of the other ones so I guess location is key.

My car has luckily never been broken into but several are here all the time so be careful with that.

There is a police officer that lives here so thats a plus..

So I guess I would recommend this place because there are a lot worse places then this and as long as you don't want to hang around in the streets at night it's a great place to be in. I didn't have a great increase in rent when I renewed after a year which was really nice.

Well I hoped this helped because I rely on this website for useful advice so I hope the other people writing on these things take it seriously too.
