My lord I have never seen such babies. I lived here from June 6th till just recently and I encountered nothing like anyone else s posts. The staff is nice and friendly although I don t really like one of the chicks they hired around the first of the year. She's snappy and I don t stand for that so I am snappy back. I have no patience for rude people and will be rude right back. As for the "crime" I'm coming from Baltimore, MD and Atlanta, GA so I really don t know what anyone's talking about. Yes there is crime but where isn t there' As for car break-ins it happens everywhere even in gated communities. For a community that isn t even gated I never had any problems. Of course I was never stupid enough to leave my cell phone or my gps setting in my car. We were going to move into Berkeley Apartments across the street with a gated community and while we were viewing the apartments we saw three cars that were broken into and glass on the ground. We moved in June and paid $875 for the renovated two bedroom apartment, had we waited till August we would have paid way less. I never had an issue that wasn t taken care of. Maintenance was polite, and quick. We fought with the apartment complex when there was a bed bug issue that came from the tenants below us. When they moved out the bugs migrated to our third floor apartment, the complex tried to make us pay but I quickly grabbed my lease and apartment handbook and showed them that they were liable. They had someone out the next day and did three exterminations; I threw away my mattress and couches even though they said it was not necessary but I was not taking the chance. Granted I wasn t pleased with the bug issue and having to throw out 2,000 dollars worth of furniture but honestly it could happen anywhere. When we looked at apartments we choose hunt club instead of the other apartment complexes because we liked the manager Lacy, we ran into several people that lived there and they said they recommended the place. I'm not trying to demean anyone s criticisms but truthfully look at the site its all bad; rarely do you find good ratings, and just because someone had a pleasant experience doesn t mean they work for the complex'''' That s stupid that like saying because you had a bad experience that everyone s circumstances are the same. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. Drugs, crime, and an occasional bug problem are unfortunately apartment life. It's what the complex does to prevent and manage it. I saw one couple being evicted due to noise complaints, leaving garbage in the hall ways. Truthfully they were a menace and the type of people you don t want in your apartment building and I was glad they got kicked out. The only noise issues were during the weekends and I personally don t care if you have a party till 2 am but after 2am on a Friday or Saturday night turn it down a notch. The noise was never so unbearable that I could not sleep. I guess we had good neighbors cause out of the entire year we lived there they really only had two or three parties and usually turned it down by 12. Its easy asses to the major highways, shops, restaurants, and the university. So yes your gonna get college students and younger tenants and they might be loud and not so respectful go knock on the damn door, call the police, every time the police are called in hunt club an officer that lives in the complex is dispatched . We had an incident with a college student who was drunk and beating on peoples doors when the cops came so did the complex police officer and she let us know that the person or persons who were having the party were being reported to the complex and faced eviction. They don t put up with that kind of crap and thats what I liked. I just bought a house but if I ever were to go back to apartment living I would stay at hunt club again.
