I have been a resident since June 2006, and the items that required maintenance when I moved in STILL have not been fixed, despite numerous lists given to the rental office. This place is INFESTED with cockroaches and management does NOTHING to get rid of the problem. There are drug dealers and prostitutes that hang out in the complex to ply their trade and management expects one unarmed security guard to stop the problem. The amenities that are supposedly included in your rent do not exist. The complex is filled with hooligans and trouble makers and management does nothing. Management is unresponsive and does not care. This place is DEFINITELY the ghetto. I even went so far as to contact the owner of the property and he does not care about the problems at the complex and is doing nothing to combat the problems. But beware - this place expects their rent on the first and they will file on you in a heartbeat, even though they are not complying with their own contract. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq

Lived here?

I know who wrote this..her story. I have lived here for 1 year. This tenant has gotten way behind in her rent and was evicted but is paying up to stay here. Not only that, she wants to move to the unit across the sidewalk because it is cheaper. Now would you stay in an apartment/complex if it was as bad as she makes out? The owner came town and we went to her apartment and she was not home. I have been in her apartment a couple of times and that is all I am going to say about that subject. Just don't believe everything you read here...take into consideration what might be the motive in what people write here. All I ask is that you come and see for yourself. It is a nice apartment FOR THE MONEY....a great value...we have spent close to 3 million dollars since 2005 to upgrade this complex, we are working on a enclosure at the front to make it completely enclosed so no one but residents can get on the property, which will take care of undesirables coming on the complex. We still have a security guard 40 hours a week at night. Yes, if you don't pay your rent you will be evicted and no, we do not rent to people with jobs or income, not since I have been here. Just see for yourself...what have you got to lose?

Hello complex manager! Your response was not as anonymous as you thought. Yes, I was late a few times with my rent, but this has no bearing on the concerns listed in my previous posting nor does it diminish or negate those concerns. I find it interesting that the complex manager has not responded to any of the other negative postings about her property; the other dissatisfied tenants must have been on time with their rent, not giving her any basis for a personal attack. Instead of addressing my concerns about her complex, she chooses to sling mud at me personally. What does this tell you? I have small children and I would hope that if my apartment was as filthy as the complex manager implies that she would immediately notify social services, if only to protect my children. She has not reported me to any agency, so there must be no problem with my housekeeping skills. Her posting was designed to do nothing more than cloud the issues. They go through security people like kleenex here, and I don't count someone who checks parking stickers as security. I had to call the police AGAIN this morning at 7 a.m. because hooligans are still using the vacant apartments in the next building for sex and drugs, which management is aware of and does nothing about. The wonderful "enclosure" that the complex manager is touting is not all-encompassing and is nothing more than an easily scaled fence. I guess it is completely escaping her notice that most of the riffraff DRIVE on to the property, they don't walk. Three million dollars in upgrades has to be a gross exaggeration. Show me the receipts. All of the upgrades that have been done are cosmetic only and mainly in the front of the complex, which of course is the area that prospective tenants are shown. Roach infestation is still a problem, and not just common household roaches - there are these HUGE roaches that come in from the outside and scare the bejeebers out of you! Maintenance has gotten a little better but the amenities that are included in your rent are still MIA. I did contact the owner months ago and he blew off my concerns;nothing has changed. It appears that the only thing this owner and property manager are concerned about is getting your rent money. It also appears that they don't give a damn about the tenants or their quality of life or the safety of the complex and the small children that live here. My part of the complex is largely vacant and constantly vandalized. Broken windows, broken in doors, vacant apartments littered with used condoms, drug paraphenalia, and empty alcohol bottles are the norm. I have to agree with the complex manager on one thing - just see for yourself. If you want to come and check out this complex, by all means do so. Just ask to see the entire complex, not just the beautified front. Talk to some of the residents and talk to the police officers of North district - they will give you an accurate picture of this complex. I will tell you why I am still here - I am a good tenant. I might pay my rent late occasionally, but I do not cause problems and I do not associate with riffraff. I am still here because I am a single parent working full time and attending college full time and this is all I can afford, but I am dreaming of the day! :) I moved to a smaller apartment so I could more easily pay my rent on time, which I have done. I don't think it is asking too much to want a clean, safe, and secure living environment.

I have to agree with the renter here. I have lived ont he property as well. 2003-2005. It is roach infested. It does have a HUGE crime issue. Prostatutes, and drug dealers are the norm here, and the hotel right next door does not help the case. Hell, the whores who want to make more money off a trick go to a vacant apaprtment, rather than paying 30-40 dollars for a room they will only use for 10-15 minutes. The "security" gate is not a gate. People have climbed that gate for many years, and unless you want to place a 20 foot wall, topped with barb wire, it will continue to be jumped over. Security? Now that is funny. I will say that many have come, and many have gone. Cops will not repsond to a 911 call. I have placed a 911 call at the front office, and it took me calling them 3 times to get them out here. Someone was being attacked, and the 4 staff members had to jump the attacker to get him off of the person! Security cannot even keep a correct log on who comes and goes, if one is even kept at all. As for all the 3 million dollars on repairs......I can go a dozen ways on that one. They need to replace every heater and ac unit, rebuild the club house that would offer a place for the residents to use, redo all the pools, build at least 3 play areas, install remote access for residents to allow guest, rather than a "security" guard that lets everyone in already. I can say, the maintenance men will get to you just as fast as they can. It is not their fault. Well, back in the day when I lived there. Keep in mind that they are doing all they can, and cannot do any more than what the owner will let them do. As for the owner, lost cause. if I were you, the person who I am backing, I would call the housing authority. You have more than plenty to work with here. Oh, is the old lady still working in the office? You know, the short, mean, rude racist? I am not black either. As for the manager if it is who I think it is....beware of Elosie. You think she is doing what you tell her, and you think she is all nice, and I would never talk bad for anyone who does not deserve it, but you better watch your back with her. She will talk sweet, nice, and do many things that are nice small gestures...she has always been in this for only one person...the owner. She is out to get anyone out who likes to do things the way they are supposed to be done.
