I have written reviews on here for the following properties: Waterford Square, NC & Howard Crossing, MD.
This was my first apartment and it wasn't a bad experience. I lived in the front section of the property. As soon as you entered the front entrance, I lived on the left side of the complex, second floor. I had a view of the busy street.
When I lived here, the complex was divided between good and bad parts. The best part to live in was where I lived, as soon as you entered the complex. If you continued to go straight and passed the dumpsters, that is when you entered a more dangerous area. It was like night and day. When my girlfriend, now my wife, moved in, one of the staff even told us about that section, how it's loud and full of riff-raff, no lie.
The staff was super nice to my wife and I. They knew our names, would even ask about us when we were just in passing. Very nice people, even maintenance. Whenever we had a problem, they would be over to fix whatever needed fixing immediately, awesome! Where I live now, the staff and maintenance are horrible and know nothing about their jobs, it's sad!
The price was affordable and the apartment itself was nice. Small but did the job. I lived at Waterford after this apartment, a lot bigger! But I know hear (read) that they are having a lot of problems and issues.
The parking was good along with the landscape, really no problems.
The only major problem I had living here was when I first moved in. My downstairs neighbor blasted his stero system late at night. I was so upset that I just started jumping on the floor, punching, pounding the floor so he too got some "bass" in the air. The dumb porker came up and knocked on my door, complaining. I told him that his bass was loud and what the problem was with my "bass". He said it wasn't cool, I replied with "you're an idiot" while looking at him crossways. He left, porker.
The next day I wrote a letter to management -also went into to see them- about this porker. They wrote him a letter that same day about his noise pollution after hours. Management got back to me the next day and told me that I shouldn't worry, he was moving out that week. Ha! It was nice!
The pool was small and a lot of unfortunates would go to the pool, needless to say, I did not attend.
Overall, my experience I had here was nice. Great location too! Food Lion-I could get my food and beer all in one! How I miss the South! I know have to go to the market for my food and a beer/liqour store for my beer, =0( oh well!
Check this place out, yes these buildings are old and with it are appliances. But all of my appliances worked well, nothing broke on me. The bathrooms are outdated, but again, it's an old building. You will probably see that everywhere unless you live in a new or refurbished apartment complex, which at that time, you will be paying for it. If they work, they work.
