After residing at Laurel Walk for the past year, there have been many changes. When moving into an apartment home community two of the words were the most important to me, home and community. I have found that
as the months go by, we are being told through time limits on the use of the pool 9pm during the week days and 10pm during the weekend. (9pm it is still daylight). Also the picnic area where we can BBQ and visit is now restricted to 11pm. The animosity between the residence and the management is great, with many of the residence wanting to cancel their leases and with the statements that they will not renew their lease at renewal time. The parent management company does not care what is transpiring within the property, only the bottom line and that is what the management team is giving them. Management is also giving the bottom line to the residence, "you will live only as she sees fit, without the regard to your rights". The management shows no respect to the residence, the management will have their maintenance person/grounds keeper tell a resident that "it is not in the budget to replace your cooking stove" even though it does not work and the repairs did not work.

Tenants will swelter in the 95 degrees in their homes, due to the fact that the air conditioners don't work. And you can omplain about them for a year and still have to wait. (Oh well its to bad that you have a 4 year old child and pets residing in your home). In the about 15 months that the management has been in place the management has gone through 5 Maintenance Supervisors. The last one that they had for the past 7 months turned the property around for them and us by making it a better place for us all to live. But yet again, the ------ attitude struck, "its management way of the highway" and we no longer have a home community again. As in
the week since the maintenance supervisor has left, it is filthy.

So if you want to live in a concentration camp and hope that you will get repairs completed you should have lived here the
January 2006 through mid July 2006, or hope that the maintenance staff even has the knowledge to repair (as it has had this problem in the past) then Laurel Walk is your place to reside. But if you are looking for a home community, look elswhere!!!!

If you have company over, you make to much noise for your neighbors, if you use the picnic area, beware if you make to much noise as you may get run off, and make sure you are gone by 11pm. Do enjoy the pool until 9pm or 10pm on weekends, no matter what shift you work. If you want company, go somewhere else and enjoy your time with them.

...residence, do you mean "residents?"
There are several contradictions in here that will be obvious to any educated person reading this. If you are so unhappy, why don't you move? Looks to me like you have a personal vindetta against someone....maybe the person who made the "noise restrictions." Looks to me like you like to party and make a lot of noise. :)

I live at Laurel Walk. Read this review carefully. It is full of contradictions. Was maintenance done, or not??? Did the author of this review like to party all night and then get mad because her maintenance man boyfriend got fired for drug use??? Ummm

I live at laurel walk as well. I personally think that the maintenance staff is horrible. There are things in my unit that have not been fixed since the day I moved in. I don't know anything about the previous maintenance mans vices, but I do know that there have been four of them since I moved in. I have leaks and exposed electrical outlets in my house. The reply from management is, "I'll send him by first thing Monday morning" or "it will be my number one priority". As for insulting a postors grammar or getting into neighborhood gossip, I will not be a part of any of that.

I used to live at Laurel Walk during this time frame, and although the staff both in the office and in the maintenance area were well liked, the policies were not, depending on who you were how long you had been there and how well the management liked you is how quickly things would get done. To correct a greiveous error no Maintenance staff was fired for drug use. Check your information more carefully before you slander others. This type of comment comes from the people like the Pool ----. The original statement looks like it reflects many of the tenants concerns, not just one. I agree that there was a lot of parting going on at the pool, a lot of drug use and a lot of bad mouthing. After reading some of these responses, who cares about the english, it is the point that is trying to be made. Management has done a complete circle, the management that was here during that time, is now again back you be the judge. Management is very nice, to your face. What difference does any of this make when they plan on tearing down the complex in the next several years. Check zoning and see how close they are already to closure. Then it is just a matter of time to evict everone, not renew their leases and in general leave them holding the bag, mattress etc.....
