I moved here from Wisconsin and stayed in a hotel until I found the Marquis. I looked at about 20 apartments. Every place I went to wanted a week to get the apartment ready. The Marquis had someone move out the day I came to visit and got the apartment ready in two days due to my situation! After being here for almost a month I am even happier than I was at move in.

The office staff is top notch, very friendly, helpful and they follow through. I have worked with both Bethany and Derek. The maintenance here is great. I requested ceiling fans to be put in and they got to them right away. I also had a few minor things I wanted done and they were on top of it.

The grounds is well kept. I don't see dog mess anywhere. Parking is ample. The pool is so wonderful, just the right temp. I have also enjoyed the hot tub. Have not tried the gym yet. The gym at the apartment complex next door is larger, but either can be used by residents. The garbage is only in one spot and is somewhat hidden by matching rock of the apartments. This is a plus because at some other apartments they have trash stations everywhere, not a good view.

My apartment is a nice size. Very updated compared to some of the other properties I looked at like Paces Commons and Colonial Village at Beverly Crest. I love the closet space and patio storage. The pet policy was better at Marquis. No pet rent is due. Two option for pet deposit/fee. The only thing I could gripe about is the price for the covered parking is high compared to other apartments.

Neighbors seem to keep to themselves, except for at the pool where they like to chat. Have not had any noise problems. There is a Charlotte officer that lives on the grounds and is able to assist any problems.

Very close by is an entrance to a greenway. There is also tons of shopping within five minutes. I don't think I could have found a better apartment for the money.
