I have lived in the Marquis of Carmel Valley since November 2004 and I absolutely love it. I have lived in two different buildings and I have never had any problems finding parking. There was one case of someone being held up at gun point but they caught the guy. It doesn't matter where you live, you are at risk of being held up at gunpoint in the best of neighborhoods. As far as a fight going on in the parking lot, the entire time I have lived here I have never witnessed anything like that. The walls are thin but when you live in an apartment what do you expect. I suggest that you buy a house if you don't want to hear people walking up the stairs. I think the apartments are wonderful, I have never had a problem with the staff loosing my packages. The staff are friendly, and the maintenance crew have always fixed anything that I needed. They even came out late one time to fix something that was not an emergency.
