Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007
I have lived here for five years and the level of maintenance has certainly gone downhill. Granted, the new owners have spent a lot of money on water lines and grounds. Still I have an existing lease, and for the fifth time my apt has been flooded by leaking pipes, ruining dressers and legs on my bed because of leaking into my bedroom. In addition all of the items that were stored in the storage room, tools and personal items, were ruined.Thousands of dollars worth. No compensation offered from land lord. The first time it happened I put in an insurance claim. After that I was on my own. During all of the maintenence in the past year, extended water shut offs, floods, interiors ripped out, the apartment has been unlivable for days at a time. No rent compensation has been offered no apologies rendered. But we are informed that if we withhold or are late with rent we are still evicted. In addition, multiple calls to the leasing office are never returned and emergency maintenence calls are a cruel joke. This community was sold to me as gated. The gates have been out of commission for two years and the security has gotten much worse. No word on repair. I would like to feel like I was indeed a customer or valued tenant, instead of them doing me a favor letting me live here. Inpending move is a reality.
