Unsafe place to live

I have lived in Mission Harris Pavilion since May and am about to move due to the terrible conditions. The first problem was that the smoke detector did not work when I moved in and I told the office that day but now, six months later, I have yet to see any maintenance. On the first rain storm, a weak patch in the ceiling of my bedroom broke through soaking my bed. I went directly to the office to report the problem but never had maintenance come to fix it. I spoke with a maintenance person a month later and they said that they had never heard about it. Despite that, I have not seen or heard from him since. Thank goodness we haven't had much rain this year, so that the leak has not been a MAJOR problem so far. I became worried for my safety when I heard shots ringing out one night. I called the police and they didn't show up for an hour and only drove through but did not stop. The people near us were extremely loud and were evicted for their late night drug parties after three months of lost sleep and complaining. There was a public incident in the complex with a random stranger reaching through a first floor window and violating a tenent. Two of my tires were slashed one night. The police told me to fill out a report online. They would not even come to the scene. Some teenagers vandalized the pool area this summer and the pool was closed to all the residents. Hardly seems fair that we are all punished because of a lack of security and respect on the grounds. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. It is a cheap place to live near the university, but you get what you pay for.

Yes, I was a victim o this terrible experience in my life. My daugther and I, were living in the first floor, one night, around 3 a.m. a black man broke the window a went to my daughter's room. He tried to abuse of my daughter, but thank my God, my daughter run to my room and she cried, the guy left by the window again. We called the police, but the police didn't find anybody around, but after everything I think that man was one of my "Good Neighbors".We don't want to know anything about these apartment because this make us nervous.
