Yo!

Not the Best......

I moved into this complex in August 2003 while it was Lexington on Mallard Creek. I was happy with the staff, there was not alot of trash around and for the most part it was fairly quiet. Someone did try to break in my car in June 2004 and the police frequent the neighborhood at least once every few weeks as do the fire department and ambulance.

Things really started to go downhill in the fall of 2004 (I'm sure when negotiations were taking place to sell the property) and in the early months of 2005 Mission Residential bought the property and changed the name to Mission Mallard Creek. Since then there has probably been a dozen different people in the front office, I complained numerous times (up until then I had not complained once) about children running up and down the steps, beating on the railings, leaving trash, marking up the building and the steps and young adults smoking marijuana in the breezeway. I was promised they would monitor and follow-up with these complaints but it just continued. I also noticed the courtesy police car that came through the neighborhood at night was no longer coming thru. My boyfriend was recently beaten and robbed at a nearby gas station and I fear for my safety. There are drug deals happening in the parking lot (I've witnessed them) and there are always people in the parking lots standing around, children throwing football hitting cars and people in the breezeways on their phones, etc.

Up until recently I was ok with living there, the apartments are nice and the rent is reasonable. However, the lack of safety and the sheer fact that complaints go unanswered has left me to have to break my lease and move out of the area. They would be ok if you are living with someone and have some type of safety precautions in place but I would not recommend it for someone living alone.
