It's hard to summarize the horrid array of experiences while living at Oak Pointe but I will do my best. Starting with the office staff who would frequently forget pertenent service requests and who failed to follow up with residents in times of need such as 2 rapes in the complex itself and a neighbor who performed body mutilation. Now to the service team - one service request that was particularly memorable was not completed and a note was on our kitchen counter simply restating the problems to us = tub was clogged and wires needed to be replaced because there was a short. Do they actually do work' Next, Car and Apartment Break Ins - I personally experinced 2 car break-ins. Many of my frinds and neighbors also experienced break ins and nothing was done. With the volume of reports it would not be unreasonable to hire an overnight patol service. One thing you will always see driving through the parking lots of Oak Pointe is busted out windows of cars. Also, dont be dismayed by the intrance of the community which is very well irragted. The rest of the community is not which leads to views of dead brown grass for most of the year. The brown grass facade is complemented very well with beer bottles, articles of clothing, and other trash items. I blame Oak Pointe for being scared to walk into my apartment at night and for always looking behind to make sure no one is there. I could continue but I think I will summarize my comments with a positive suggestion = there ARE other apt communities that do not tolerate such activities.
