The gates we always open until 8pm every night. Until march of '06 when someone was murdered in the complex. They were shot 10 ft from my front door, where my wife and child were sleeping. I know crime can happen anywere but this complex needs to put better saftey program in place.

Understanding that this is an event that no one would hope to see, unfortunately, we cannot prevent all crimes from happening. If you were to check with the Charlotte Meck police, you will see that there are not many problems that happen here at Park Lane. We are a small community that many residents have called home for several years... for a reason. The tragedy that happened here was not a random act. The people knew each other. The person that died was not a resident here, nor where they invited guests. As soon as the incident happened, we asked the resident involved to leave the community regardless of their fault in the matter. We wanted our residents to feel that this type of activity would not return to the community at any time. It disheartens me that you do not feel that this is a safe community to call home and we would love to speak to you further if you would like to give us a call.
