I originally reviewed Piper Station on 9/19/01. This modified review was written on 11/10/02.
Original problems: loud neighbors on both sides of us, had to call cops three times for noise, car was vandalized, people flew through the parking lot with bass thumping at all hours of the day and night, kids played in the parking lot while these idiots were flying around, grounds were trashy, management was friendly but didnt really care about our problems, particularly the noise.
Updated review:
We moved out in December 2001 after we had mice--yes, MICE--infest our building. Management called an extermination company, who came and set out poison (great, just what we need with a small dog in the apartment). It was the last straw in a very long two-year stay at Piper Station.
As far as the reviewer who said we should live at the North Pole, here is my response:
Reviewer: "I dont care where you live your going be around loud obnoxious people, Kids that will play, and cars with bass GET USED TO IT."
Me: No, dear, this is definitely NOT the norm. The complex where we now live, Eastover Ridge, is quiet, peaceful and full of friendly neighbors. No loud bass every night, no cars flying by at 45 mph to endanger children. Weve also lived at other complexes where this wasnt the norm, including 3400 Selwyn and The Fairington.
Reviewer: "They also offer garages for those people with the above avarage car who is afraid of it being vandalized ( it happens everywhere in the WORLD )."
Me: Garages cost an extra $100 per month, which was not in our budget at the time. We didnt have a special car--just an average used Integra. And yes, I realize this can happen anywhere, but it sure didnt help our experience at Piper Station.
Reviewer: "Management at any complex can only do so much to make each and everyone of the 300 plus residents happy."
Me: This is true, and Im not blaming everything that happened on the management. But for things like noise complaints, they couldve been a lot more proactive.
Reviewer: "I dont know anywhere else that trys as hard."
Me: I do--Eastover Ridge. Yes, it costs more, but its well worth it for the peace of mind.

Well, somtimes bad things happen to good people. ELONFORME sounds like a moron. Maybe ELONFORME should mind his business, cause that's how people get hurt sometimes...bad. You just never know when.

I am the original reviewer. Elonforme, we moved FROM Piper Station TO Eastover Ridge. I wrote the review several months after we moved out of Piper Station. The one good thing I have to say about them is that they let us out of our lease with no penalty when the building was infested with mice. Bottom line: Piper Station wasn't the place for us. It's been a long time since we lived there, so I'm sure some things have changed. BTW, we lived at Eastover Ridge for 1 year and had absolutely no problems. Only reason we moved out was because we bought a house.

I've actually never lived at either! I just have friends who live at Piper Station and they like it there, they say good value for the price. Wow, I got my life threatened for giving an opinion at apartmentratings.com! Jesus! Someone is serious about their apartment!
