Noise, bugs and power issues. THats the biggest problems with living here. THe units are not bad at all, could use some professional upgrades, not the half-assed job thats done in them, but all and all the homes are roomy and nice. THe biggest problems with living here though, bugs, freakin everywhere. Big wood roaches, you see them outside, you find them in your dryer or washer, and inside as well. Makes you wonder what the condition of the buildings are in, because usually those types of bugs are found in rotting wood. Noise! half the time its deathly quiet, the other half, there is a party going on somewhere. WHich is fine, nothing wrong with people having fun and guest, but keep it with in your unit. But the music goes up all night, the people hang outside and you can't get any sleep. Sucks because it makes you the bad guy if you have to say something or call the cops. The big issue though, POWER! power surges, power outages. They happen alot. We went from hardly ever having one in the last place we lived to having 4-5 in here in a course of a short period of time. Our neighbors have said since they have lived here, they have experienced the same thing. All of us have kids and that sucks during the hot summers and I am curious if it happens as well during the winters. Power outages are never good in apartment homes, it puts you at the mercy of a idiot somewhere around you using candles and forgetting about them and burning everyone out of their homes. I guess the complex and Duke can't figure out why we lose power all the time and our neighbors around us are just fine. The management tells you its all the appliances and power you must be using thats causing it, like your a freakin idiot. Funny because, Duke power has NO SHORTAGE of power supply, they sell electricity all over the country to other areas who need it. But if your dumb enough to believe that, then they will keep passing the blame off on someone else other than themselves. Maybe sometime in the future it will be in their "budget" to bring the place up the what they sell it as.
