Archstone Reafield has the best of both worlds. It's located in the heart of South Charlotte alongside inflated priced homes and the area has one of best school zones in Charlotte. However, I believe that Archstone has let these two factors go straight to their price gouging heads! The community is nicely taken care of, that fact I can't deny. The office staff is extremely professional at all times, I will give that to them also. But don't ever, ever, ever tell them at the end of your lease that you are moving on to PURCHASE A HOME!! Once they hear that, it's almost like Superman reacting to kryptonite. I am not lying when I say that there are at least 2-4 moving trucks in any of there parking lots EVERY week. Why' Because tenants get fed up with there rent going way up, buy houses, and MOVE OUT! Common sense would tell ANY rental property owner that if you have a steady stream of tenants moving in and moving out, you will need to EXTERMINATE ON A REGULAR BASIS!! The roach problem was so bad in my unit that I was purchasing roach spray every week during my regular trip to walmart. Because the HVAC equipment is older than my youngest brother's atari game system, be prepared to pay outrageous utilities bills all year long. I don't want to mention their "Water Management" utility company that is bases in Idaho somewhere. That is a huge rip off also. Bottom line, if you are new to the city and you already have a game plan set as far as purchasing some property real soon and don't mind not knowing ANY of your neighbors because they move out like tourists, Archstone is an ideal spot.

The apartments are awesome!!!! Archstone is probably happier now that you're gone. So what people are moving in and out...It's great that they offer the short-term leases. As far as the water management....that was nothing compared to what you'll pay in a house. Good luck and good ridence!

Yeah. THIS wasn't written by some schmoe that works in the office. Real mature though. Being in the apartment industry myself, I know never to run my mouth about a former resident because I never know when they might come back to town and lease from me again. That or send me a referral. It's just smart business.
