I stopped by the leasing office at Reafield Village, formerly knows as Archstone Reafield, to check on availability and prices.
Pluses: . Rent for 1-bedroom units after the special is very reasonable for that area of Charlotte. ($635.00 for the 785 Square Feet and $620.00 for the 865 Square Feet plus den). I liked the 1-bedroom/1 bath/den more. . The apartment complex sits on high and low ground which makes it very attractive. . The pools are very attractive because they sit on higher ground. . The tennis court, playground for kids, etc. . Erica was one of the nicest leasing consultants I have ever met. She was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They are lucky to have her.
Minuses: . The yellow exterior shows dirt easily. . The master bedroom is too small. . The units are 20 years old. . The floors squeak. . The Formica look alike tile in some of the dining room, kitchen and even the W/D closet/utility room is hideous. . All the appliances are circa 1980. . Max lease term is 15 months. I would guess that rent would then increase by 4% to 8% upon renewal.
