I've lived here for over 2 years now in the same apt. and I have not had any problems here. All the stuff about having troubles is probably becuase they are in an unrenovated apt. (which they are in the process of renovating them as tenants move out). People try and save money by taking an unrenovated apt. and have old appliances, well yes there will be issues duh they're old! Maintenace staff is friendly! Try talking to them like they are human beings and they will help you in a heart beat. It is a safe community, there have been some car beak-ins but what apt. community doesnt have that, even gated ones get break-ins. And when something does happen they do send out a letter stating what happend and to keep your belongings out of site. So for those of you who have experienced it you brought it on yourself. I am not familiar with the office staff I rarely go up there except to get my packages. The grounds are kept clean, landscaping is nice, and there is no late night noise. They have community gatherings and in the summer they do it at the pool and PaPa Johns has this deal with them on pizzas and they always cater their events. It's in a good location, right behind the apts. are really nice upscale houses. There are no bugs, the grounds are sprayed monthly, and if you do have bugs then you brought them on yourself by being DIRTY! As for when they were painting they gave a notice for all residents to move their cars away from the building because they were painting. If you got paint spots on your car, its your fault you should have not parked in front of the complex thats the only way its going to happen. The buildings look good with a fresh coat of paint, the pale yellow perks up the place, better than white or tan.

The apartment I lived above had been busted for Meth, it had the same bugs that infiltrated my apartment. Both the tenant below me and I kept a very clean apartment but with feral cats living by the dumpsters that tried to come in, drug dealers and lord knows what else, who knows how the apartments got bed bugs. All I know is, I kept an impeccable place (I had a toddler at the time, it's a must). It seems that the management has changed and perhaps that has led to an improvement but it's thoughtless and ignorant on your part to blame the resident for being dirty when you do not know their habits or the history of the apartments where you lived. Great that you got a renovated one, that wasn't an option when I was there but obviously top to bottom (management and grounds) they felt there were problems to deal with. Great if they have. I won't knock your experience. Happy for you and the handful of other residents that had a good experience. But honestly, no fault of my own, it was the worst place I have ever lived and that is why I left.
