New management changed everything

Crosland Properties bought this apartment complex in December and since then a lot of things have changed. Prior to Dec, we had been here for 6 months and were very pleased for the most part with the staff, maintenance, grounds, safety concerns, etc. However, since management has shifted, we've had at least 7 robberies around the community in Phase 1 that we are aware of, as well as several car break-ins. In addition to that, maintenance is not nearly as effecient or as quick to respond as they were before. It took them 2 weeks to fix our shower, which wouldn't stop dribbling cold water, and the knob had broken off so we couldn't use it at all. We have also had 3 peeping tom incidents in 6 months that we KNOW of - I am sure he was at our window more than that but we only saw him 3 times. A year ago, this was a really good deal, but now we don't feel safe anymore and the crime rate seems to be rising drastically. I don't recommend coming here unless you are desperate and have no other choice!

We lived in Phase II and feel the same way about this properties operation. Prior to the change in management the two phases were operated as one, but now they have been split in two. Since the first of the year we have had our car broken into as have at least three other tenants in our building. One neighbor had a motercycle stolen as well. It has become a much less desireable place to live. We moved as soon as our lease ran out.

So it's the management's fault your cars were broken into? It's their fault there were robberies on site? Wake up and read the freaking newspaper...crime is ALL OVER. Find a gated community with a garage to store your car in. Oh, you probably can't afford the rent on a really nice place- so you just complain about the place you can afford.
